We care about the members of our community. That’s why we started Operation Round Up — a program designed to let our members help themselves and the community by giving just pennies a month by rounding up their electric bills to the nearest whole dollar. Currently, about 75% of our members participate in this voluntary program.
Since the program began in 2018, Ashland Electric Cooperative’s Operation Round Up program has handed out thousands of dollars for:
- Scholarships to local students
- Funding for a Summer Camp program for special needs children
- Training and equipment for volunteer fire departments
- Emergency assistance to victims of local disasters
- A foundation that raises money to help cancer patients in the region
- Purchasing new books for schools
- Funds for the Salvation Army to help homeless individuals
The funds only add up to about $5 per year per member. But all those pennies add up quickly and make a big difference towards helping the community in which you live. It’s easy to sign up, just use the form below.
